Reported Crop Circles for the State
of Alabama -
Mobile, Mobile County (October 28, 1969)
Single circle reported; Two students at Mobile College while drving on Raines Drive in the Wildwood section of Mobile, Alabama on the evening of October 28 at about 10:15 PM, reported seeing a circular object 35-50 feet in diameter and 15 feet high that descend out of the sky and into an open field. The driver slammed on his brakes at the siight, and the two men sat there observing the object for a few minutes. They then left in a hurry, drove to a nearby grocery store, and telephoned the police. Patrolman G. Presenall was dispatched to investigate, where he discovered a 'beaten down' area in the underbrush of the field indicating to him that an object had been there, but was now gone. The Coast Guard Aviation Center at Bates Field nearby reported that no planes had been in the air after 9:30 PM on the night of the 28th.
